runner's stretch

i am totally impressed with runner, model and chef, lenora marouani.  not only is she gorgeous but she's also an accomplished chef, a determined athlete and she is teaching herself french. with her background in fitness and fine foods, i thought it only appropriate to ask lenora about her favorite post run meal....

"i love making wraps.  i stuff the tortilla's with a variety of filling including chicken caesar, greek salad with salmon, turkey cobb, spanish rice with carne asada and tomatillo sauce, blt with ranch. i also love lettuce cups with a various fillings if i want to go lighter. a great book on wraps is nancy kennedy's hollywood wraps (i helped her with a few ideas!)"

"oh yeah, and proper hydration is a must. i drink at least 10-12 cups of water a day. as a runner, your body is always losing water, so constant replenishment is a must."

  1. Wow, beautiful pictures!! Love the one on the bottom. I think the black and white really helps focus the eye on the lines, contrast and shadows in the frame without sacrificing attention to the distraction of color. Brilliant choice.

Man, athletes have such incredible bodies - am so impressed. And green with envy. ;)

  3. Rock solid. Both the subject and the photographer. Kickin' butt and taken names, as we say.

  4. Yes, I love both photos but the one in the bottom is my favorite. I love the perspective and how she is looking away from the camera. Really well done Heather!!

  6. Heather - I love these portraits! Looking forward to more athletic and strong (inside and out!) women on your blog. I think my favorite shot is the first - perhaps because of the framing. Nice touch with the palm trees in the background.
