this past sunday my photographer friend, karen christensen, and i took turns photographing each other. with karen's natural beauty and her background in acting and modeling she made for an amazing subject. i couldn't be happier with this final edit.
i, on the other hand, was not looking forward to the part where i had to be her subject. this experience was definitely a valuable reminder of how uncomfortable it is to be the "model" on a shoot. it gave me a new perspective on how some of my more nervous subjects feel.
fortunately, karen has a very calming presence and is great at making her subjects feel comfortable and confident. i actually love the final images she took of me.. and that's saying quite a lot. I'll include the link to her blog when she posts the images.

THANK YOU, Heather! I love these shots and, more importantly, I loved how I felt posing for them. You helped me to feel really free in front of your camera and that's what makes for an honest portrait. You ROCK!
